Robert
Abernethy
in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the establishment
and maintenance of the highest standards in the fields of urban planning
and zoning. He presently serves as a member of the Planning Commission
of the City of Los Angeles while continuing to guide American Standard
Development Company as President.
Charles H. Boxenbaum
in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments in the field of real
estate finance. He is founder of First Los Angeles Bank as well as founder
of Sonnenblick-Goldman of California. His leadership position continues
as a Director of the National Housing Council, who honored him as Man
of the Year, and as Chairman of National Partnership Investments whose
assets exceed $1.3 billion.
W. Earl Haberlin
in recognition of leadership in Real Estate Economics and Corporate
STrategic Planning for a major industrial center developer and a large
commercial business bank in the Los Angeles area. His integration of
the disciplines of economics into corporate strategic plans has helped
his corporations become industry leaders.
Ron Izumita
in recognition of his unique ability, talent and achievements in the
field of landscape architecture. As head of a six office firm, he has
brought highly innovative design to the field and impacted us all through
better work and living environments.
C. Eric Lindvall
in recognition of his national and international leadership in the field
of seismic engineering. Many major facilities throughout highly seismic
areas of the world are sited and designed in accordance with his evaluations.
He currently directs U.S.-India strong motion earthquake instrumentation
projects and is President of his own firm.
William D. Lusk
in recognition of distinguishing himself in pioneering efforts to establish
true liaison between developers and government. As Vice-Chairman of
The LUSK Company, his planning, development, marketing and management
talents have implemented a substantial number of major projects making
his company one of the largest and most successful in the West.
Patricia McCabe Nemeth
in recognition of distinguishing herself in urban development and redevelopment,
zoning and architecture in state, county and city governments. Her administrative
activities have included county general plan revisions, departmental
reorganizations, negotiation of a complex multi-million dollar contract
with two ports and a railroad, and a 3,000 acre redevelopment plan expansion.
David Lane Parry
in recognition of his distinguished academic leadership which has both
guided experienced real estate developers as well as students seeking
a career in real estate related fields. He currently serves as Chairman
of the Department of Finance, Real Estate and Law at California State
Polytechnic University, Pomona as well as Administrator of the Real
Estate Research Council.
John J. Tuite
in recognition of his life long and extraordinary dedication in achieving
adequate housing for all. His sensitivity to human needs and coordination
of business and government to meet this need led to pre-eminence as
President of his own firm after completion of service as Director of
the Los Angeles office for H.U.D.
